Just Panela: 80% Faster Store Discovery
Just Panela sources USDA Certified Organic unrefined cane sugar, known as panela, from Colombia. The brand sells primarily through retail distribution rather than direct online sales.
The Challenge
As Just Panela's retail presence expanded across more stores, customers had no simple way to find out where the product was actually sold. The brand needed a way to answer the single most common question shoppers had: where can I buy this near me.
The solution had to work within the brand's existing Squarespace site rather than requiring a platform migration, and needed to support search by location, radius, and store type so customers with different needs could all find an answer quickly.
The Solution
The Web Hunters built a custom Store Finder using the Google Maps API and integrated it directly into the existing Squarespace site. Customers can search by location and radius, and filter by store type, to find the nearest retailer carrying Just Panela products.
JavaScript and jQuery power the dynamic search and filtering behavior, while HTML, CSS, and PHP ensure the feature runs reliably within Squarespace's constraints. The Web Hunters also provided ongoing technical support to keep the store locator accurate as retail partnerships grew.
