Proofreading Pros is a premium proofreading and copy-editing service built around highly qualified, pre-vetted native English editors from diverse professional backgrounds. Unlike AI-based solutions, Proofreading Pros prioritizes human expertise, speed, and consistency, delivering exceptional results directly within Google Docs to minimize friction for clients. As the business scaled globally, the company required a robust, custom-built platform to manage customers, editors, documents, and payments efficiently. TWH partnered with Proofreading Pros as a long-term technical partner, delivering full-stack development across the website, admin dashboard, customer dashboard, editor dashboard, and a custom Google Docs add-on. The result is a powerful, scalable ecosystem designed to support growth, automation, and collaboration.
Proofreading Pros needed a unified system capable of managing multiple user roles—customers, editors, and administrators—while maintaining a frictionless experience. The existing infrastructure lacked flexibility, modern payment processing, and efficient workflows. Key challenges included improving onboarding, enabling real-time document collaboration in Google Docs, managing editor applications, and providing full administrative visibility across users, documents, and payments. Additionally, the platform needed to support free trials, referrals, dynamic pricing, and automated email marketing without compromising reliability or performance.
End-to-end platform engineering with intelligent automation
TWH developed a clean, minimal WordPress website with an integrated blog, supported by a powerful backend ecosystem. The Admin Dashboard was rebuilt to provide full control over Users, Tags, Documents, Payments, and Statistics. A conversion-focused Customer Dashboard was created with guided onboarding, free trial functionality, and social referral incentives. Braintree was replaced with Stripe, enabling flexible pricing plans—both static and dynamic.
The Editor Dashboard was engineered as the operational backbone, allowing editors to apply, accept jobs, collaborate, and complete tasks efficiently, with multi-step application workflows managed through the Admin Panel. A custom Google Docs add-on enabled seamless collaboration between customers and editors, with automated access control once orders were completed. Email automation was integrated by passing user status data to the admin, enabling behaviour-driven marketing campaigns. The platform was built using a modern, scalable tech stack to support long-term growth.
